The reason for this post is two fold. Firstly it serves to explain the foundation behind my meal choices that will appear here (hopefully) on a weekly basis from now on. The DDP Yoga “diet” is really so much more than that. It is a solid nutrition guide and is it a fundamental part of achieving success on the program.
The second reason is that I monitor the traffic to this website. What that means is I can see patterns and usage across my website. I can see a whole load of statistics including what people searched for on Google and other search engines in order to discover my website. From this information I know that a lot of people are looking online for the DDP yoga “diet”.
So without further adieu let me explain how it works…
There are three varying levels of DDP Yoga nutrition. You can choose the more intense levels straight away but know that that require a deeper commitment to changing your eating habits. As I am sure you can image most of us will start at phase one.
“For anyone interested in a health, reasonable nutrition program to drop a couple of sizes, shape up and tone, and improve your energy.” You cut out fast food, fried food, junk, sweets and processed foods.
For the more committed. If you are targeting your “high school weight” then this is for you. You give up a little more but get way more in return.
For athletes and fitness fanatics. Also the same plan Athur used. All organic and no dairy. fastest results but most dramatic changes to your normal habits.
There are seven groups of approved foods. They are:
and each group consists of a list of food items and their portion size. Here is an example to illustrate:
Then there is a formula for each phase. It tells you for breakfast you can choose X number of items from Y category and combine with X number of items from Z category to make up your meal for that day.

So you see each meal time you can include any foods you want as long as they are from the approved list and you have the correct sized portions. No more being told exactly what to eat or having to eat the things you don’t like just because your diet tells you to. Pick the ingredients you know you like and apply the DDP Yoga nutrition formula to them in order to achieve your desired results!
I know it sounds simple enough. The hard part with all diets is sticking to it. Only you can make that happen. however if you have tried other diets in the past you will be well aware that some of them tell you exactly what to eat and give you no say in the matter. This plan can be shaped to reflect your personal tastes which I think is fantastic.
All the meals I intend to eat will follow the phase two formula as I have had moderate success dieting in the past so I know I can stick it. This time I will be combining it with exercise which is new but hopefully the combination is exactly what I need to boost my weight loss.
